What’s the Difference Between Porcelain and Composite Veneers?
While both types of veneers can address similar smile problems, some significant differences exist between them and the procedures needed to complete them.
Porcelain Veneers in Wellesley Hills
Ceramic porcelain veneers are ideal for completely transforming your smile—think “Hollywood” smile. These veneers are handcrafted by a dental lab to my specifications and custom-shaded to match or enhance your smile. They’re also considered a permanent solution because I remove a small amount of tooth enamel to create the perfect fit.
The porcelain veneers are completed in two appointments, and the dental lab finishes the final restorations in two to three weeks.
During the first visit, I prepare your teeth for veneers, taking impressions for the dental lab to use in fabrication. I’ll also create temporary veneers you’ll wear for the next few weeks, which will help you get used to your new smile.
The final result is a stunning smile with perfect symmetry and natural aesthetics. Together, we’ll create a smile you’ll be excited about and proud of!
